Shopping around for the best whiteboard animation service within your price point is as time-consuming as it sounds.
With so many options available and endless factors to consider, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution.
If you’re lucky enough to have an unlimited budget, searching for the right whiteboard animation company won’t be as difficult for you (though a higher price tag doesn’t always translate to higher quality).
But in a post-pandemic era, most small businesses have to be more prudent with their resources. And must do their due diligence by comparing options to find the best value for a limited budget.
Luckily for you, you won’t have to spend much time comparing agency packages and portfolios.
We’ve done the homework for you. And have compiled a list of the best places to get a quality whiteboard animation for under $500.
Here Are The Best Whiteboard Animation Services For Under $500
- Sidekick Sales Videos
- 30 Second Explainer Videos
- Fiverr
- AnimationDok
- Doodly
1. Sidekick Sales Videos
Yes, that’s us.
It may be a bit brazen to give ourselves a spot on this list, but we’ve been in the business of making explainer videos since 2012, so we’ve become quite familiar with the industry and its many players.
When it comes to getting the most value for your money, we can genuinely say we haven’t come across a higher quality service within this price range.
Our whiteboard packages include scriptwriting, professional voice-overs, royalty-free music, animation, and free rounds of revisions. And that’s all starting at just $247 for a 30-second commercial.
We can toot our own horn but we’d rather you check out our work and see if we’re the right fit for your business.
We’re passionate about providing an affordable video service that doesn’t skimp on quality. Feel free to get in touch.
2. 30 Second Explainer Videos
Don’t let the name fool you, you’re not limited to just a 30-second animation if you decide to work with them.
30 Second Explainer Videos also offers whiteboard animations for under five hundred – as long as your video is 90 seconds or less. And from what we’ve seen, they do a good job producing animations for budget-conscious businesses.
3. Fiverr
Fiverr is a popular gig marketplace so there are loads of freelancers offering whiteboard animation services at affordable prices, which makes this a viable option for those trying to stretch their dollars.
Be forewarned, there are A LOT of options to choose from. You’re going to have to spend a fair amount of time comparing packages, prices, and portfolios to find a gig that has what you’re looking for.
Just be sure to take a good hard look at what is included before you commit to a gig as most gigs don’t include scriptwriting, voice-overs, free revisions, etc.
And because this is a marketplace rather than an agency, you won’t exactly be receiving a personal level of service. Just something to factor in if personalized service is important to you.
4. AnimationDok
AnimationDok just makes the cut. You can get a 60-second whiteboard video for $495 (as of the writing of this article).
Their varied portfolio items show they are capable of producing quality whiteboard animations within a more limited budget. If you decide to work with them, be sure you won’t need more than 60 seconds to capture your message as their 90-second option will double your budget.
5. Doodly
If you have the patience and courage to try and make the video yourself, there is online do-it-yourself software available.
We think Doodly beats out the competition. Doodly has a sizable library of images to choose from. It’s user-friendly and requires no knowledge of animation. You drag and drop your assets in place and use its various tools to have the animation play out how you want.
You’ll save money but you must be willing to put in a fair amount of time and leg work to get it done.
Unlike the other options on this list, you aren’t paying a one-time invoice. Instead, Doodly is subscription-based and you pay a monthly fee for access to their software.
Finding Good Whiteboard Services Was Not Easy…
Compiling this list was no easy task.
It took some effort just to find whiteboard agencies offering animation services within our set range. Among the lucky dozen or so that met our pricing requirements, we were hard-pressed to find companies we could recommend based on their quality of work.
